The pause practice
Notice — Am I doing this because they need it, or because I need to feel like I'm doing something?
Stop — If it's the second — don't send the message. Don't make the call. Don't fix it.
Feel it — Sit with the discomfort for 60 seconds without solving it. That feeling is information, not an emergency.
Ask — What would the person I'm becoming do right now?
When I feel the pull
Go for a walk or run. Move your body first.
Write one sentence about what I'm actually afraid of.
Do one concrete EnglishWD task. The work is my ground.
Skate. Put on music. Come back to yourself.
